The gamescom congress 2025 is calling for topic proposals! Take the opportunity to present your innovative ideas and projects at Europe's leading conference on the potential of games. The congress will take place on August 21, 2025 in Cologne and will bring together experts from business, culture, education, politics, science, journalism and game development. For this year, we are particularly looking for contributions on the focus topics of “The Next Level of Immersion”, “Gaming and Responsibility” and “Gaming and Well-Being”.
Submit practical examples or current research projects that deal with innovation in the immersion of games or that show how games reflect our responsibility to act or what potential games bear for our well-being. Other topics include the impact of games in economy and culture, science, education and technology, and which frameworks and regulations we want to give ourselves for a positive development of the ecosystem of games.
Submission instructions: Your proposed topics should highlight the potential and challenges of games.
- No special expertise in the field of game development is required.
- The submission requires a meaningful title and a brief description.
- All persons involved in the planned stage contribution should be informed and invited.
- The submitter is responsible for the contribution. If a contribution is planned for several people, the submitter remains the contact person for all questions, including the delivery of speaker details for all speakers.
- We do not cover travel and accommodation costs.
- Submission deadline is May 18, 2025
